Why are homosexual acts and same sex
marriages wrong?

Have you not read that the Creator, from the beginning made
them male and female, and said, for this cause a man shall leave his father
and mother, and cleave to his wife, and the two shall become on flesh.

Fly fornication, every sin that a man does is without the
body, but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Corinthians 6:15-20

St. Paul wrote that no fornicator, or unclean, or covetous
person hath inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Ephesians
5:5

Do not err, neither fornicators, not idolators, nor
adulterers, nor the effeminate [homosexuals] nor liers with mankind
[Sodomites] shall possess the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6-10.

Homosexuality is one of the four sins which the Bible says
cries to heaven for vengeance (Genisus 18:20-21) and (Romans
1:26-32).
The others are murder (Genisus 4:10), oppression of the poor (Exodus 2:23)
and defrauding the laborer of his wages (James 5:4)

Thou shall not lay with mankind as with womankind, because
it is an abomination. Every soul that shall commit any of these
abominations, shall perish from the midst of this people - I am the Lord
your God. Leviticus 18:22-30

If one lay with a man as with a woman, both have committed
an abomination. Let them be put to death: their blood be upon them.
Leviticus 20:13)

There are also several passages in the Bible, both in the
Old and New Testaments about the evils of homosexuality, especially, about
the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha, because they had turned, almost
totally into a population of sexual perverts.
The tradition of the Ecclesiatical Magisterium
Throughout the ages of our church at many of the official
Ecumenical Councils, the evils of practicing homosexuals have been denounced.
And this has been further emphasized by the teachings and writing of scores of
Saints.
